Toddler Math: Parts of a Circle Flash Cards, Video, & Poster

My boys (ages 8 & 2) have been reviewing / learning the parts of a circle this week.

They’ve been watching this video, but I’ve also made some printable flash cards and a printable poster for those of you who prefer the paper route.

Enjoy!

Great resources, thanks for all the work and time that you put into making these resources and for sharing them.

    A note: Secant is pronounced with a long-e sound “sea-cant” not “sec-ant”.

I will be sure to save the various resources that you make!!!

Thanks for the head’s up, I guess I will really need to start double checking my sources, as I actually did look up the “correct” pronunciation for that word and the source I used (apparently, incorrectly) pronounced it as “sec-ant”. I will update the video!

I really do appreciate readers cluing me in when I have made a typo or pronunciation error, as I am just putting all of this stuff together myself with no editing or research team and I definitely make mistakes from time to time, although I try my best to avoid them! Thanks again.

Its a regional thing. I have heard it pronounced both ways. I say “sea-cant”.

I would just google: define “word” from now on. You have the ability to listen to the pronunciation of a word when you have google define it. That way you can take out a lot of grunt work and make things easier on yourself.

Thanks for the tip, I usually google “pronounce [word]” or “[word] pronunciation” and it takes me to all sorts of different sites, but using google’s built-in dictionary (using the method you described) seems a more reliable source. I actually didn’t realize you could listen to the pronunciation of the word straight from google homepage!

I’m sorry you’re having trouble downloading it! Hmm… It seemed to be loading when I clicked on it, have the other downloads been working for you? Maybe try again and if it’s still not working I can email it to you if you like.
